Description

These air fryer gluten free chicken tenders are a delicious, healthy alternative to traditional fried chicken. With a crispy coating and juicy interior, they capture the essence of street food while being easy to make at home.


Ingredients

1 lb Chicken Breast Tenders
1 cup Gluten-Free Breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Almond Flour
2 units Large Eggs
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
Sea Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Olive Oil Spray as needed


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel
  2. Prepare a breading station with whisked eggs in one bowl and a mixture of gluten-free breadcrumbs, almond flour, and spices in another bowl. Mix dry ingredients thoroughly
  3. Dip each chicken piece into the egg wash, letting excess egg drip off, then press into the dry mixture for a thick coat
  4. Arrange the coated chicken on a plate while preheating the air fryer to 400°F (200°C)
  5. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil, place chicken in a single layer, and spray tops with more oil
  6. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, flip each piece, spray the other side, and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
  7. Let them rest for two minutes before serving

Notes

Double coat the chicken for an extra-thick crust by dipping in egg and flour twice before adding the breadcrumbs.
