These air fryer gluten free chicken tenders are a delicious, healthy alternative to traditional fried chicken. With a crispy coating and juicy interior, they capture the essence of street food while being easy to make at home.

1 lb Chicken Breast Tenders
1 cup Gluten-Free Breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Almond Flour
2 units Large Eggs
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
Sea Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Olive Oil Spray as needed
Instructions
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel
- Prepare a breading station with whisked eggs in one bowl and a mixture of gluten-free breadcrumbs, almond flour, and spices in another bowl. Mix dry ingredients thoroughly
- Dip each chicken piece into the egg wash, letting excess egg drip off, then press into the dry mixture for a thick coat
- Arrange the coated chicken on a plate while preheating the air fryer to 400°F (200°C)
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil, place chicken in a single layer, and spray tops with more oil
- Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, flip each piece, spray the other side, and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
- Let them rest for two minutes before serving
Notes
Double coat the chicken for an extra-thick crust by dipping in egg and flour twice before adding the breadcrumbs.
