Ingredients
14.75 oz Canned Pink or Red Salmo
1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
2 units Large Eggs
1/4 cup Yellow Onion (finely diced)
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Salt (to taste)
3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil or Butter
1/2 teaspoon Dried Dill (optional)
Instructions
- Drain the liquid from the canned salmon and press it gently against a sieve to remove excess moisture
- Place the flaked salmon in a mixing bowl, add diced onions, salt, and pepper, and mix well
- Crack the eggs into the mixture and stir until combined
- Gradually add the flour while stirring to achieve a cohesive mixture
- Divide the mixture into 6-8 portions and shape each into a round patty
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook each patty for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brow
- Remove from the skillet and place on a paper-towel-lined plate to drain before serving
Notes
Chill the salmon mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes before shaping for better results.
Serve with a creamy element on the side, such as tartar sauce or mashed potatoes.
